I've been creating a lot again lately. And it feels good.

While we were doing our Brown Thursday shopping (gasp! It was later at night, not dinner time), we ended up at Michael's. They had a pretty good sale on beads, so I had my mom pick some out. She picked out some flat round beads with black and white on them. I used them to create this for her for Christmas. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?

One of the newest items in my shop . This is a very simple necklace with lots of color, sure to draw attention. For the Photography folks out there, you'll notice how much nicer these pictures are than previous pictures of my jewelry. That's thanks to a homemade light box and Lightroom 4. New earrings have been added to the shop ! My problem with making earrings is trying to get them the same. That's not always easy for me and why I do more pendants and necklaces. So these Tree of Life necklaces and other jewelry have become pretty popular lately. I've seen some selling for over $100! Thanks to a friend who sent me a tutorial, I was able to make one for much cheaper! Since I agreed to sell the first necklace in this style, I needed one for myself. Sorry folks, this one's all mine! I also designed these earrings. Originally I was planning to sell them, but since I screwed up a couple things (not noticeable unless pointed out, I think), I decided to keep them for myself as well. So this is a pendant necklace that I made before my trip to San Diego. Since Bryan is so supportive, I decided to reward him. He's made the comment a couple times, "too bad there's not any jewelry you could make for me..." Well, I did a little research and found there was something I could make for him. By sticking with earth tones and opaque beads, this is what I came up with.  (Yes, I made him take his shirt off.
