First Friday Photo!

I loved the clouds over the lake as the sun was rising. As always, click on the picture to see it bigger... I'm going to attempt to make this a regular feature with the photo being posted on my blog at 9am central time every Friday. I won't always be able to post a link on Facebook right away, but if you come to my blog, you'll be able to see the photo before everyone else!

Another piece done. I had fun making this one and I really like the way it turned out. How much would you pay for this necklace? As always, click on the picture to see it bigger...

For my man...

Since Bryan is so supportive, I decided to reward him. He's made the comment a couple times, "too bad there's not any jewelry you could make for me..." Well, I did a little research and found there was something I could make for him. By sticking with earth tones and opaque beads, this is what I came up with.  (Yes, I made him take his shirt off. He was wearing a bright yellow,  Michigan shirt that just didn't go with the necklace.) As always, click on the picture to see it bigger...

Playing favorites already...

I think this might be my favorite piece that I've done so far. I love the colors and shapes. It will be a versatile piece in my wardrobe, I'm thinking... As always, click on the picture to see it bigger...

Spin it

I was just playing around with the spirals and threw these together. I like the playfulness of them and the colors are fun. As always, click on the pictures to see it bigger...

Basketball Beauty

This is what I'll be wearing tonight when the MU women take on Syracuse. I decided I needed something to wear to basketball games, so I designed these!

Pink Hearts

I made this one last week. It's very simple, but I really like it. What do you think?

The first idea came from having an excess of wooden blocks. See, I needed them for the escort card holders at my wedding (maybe I'll do a post on those later). I went online to find some at Joann's. If you want to repeat this craft, you might want to note that even though the listing for the blocks says they come in packs of 4, they really come in packs of 13. So since I needed 36 blocks, I ordered 9 packs. I ended up with 117 blocks. Oy. After the wedding I had the idea to make ornaments for the kids of my friends and family.
